L'ABS, il materiale con cui vengono prodotti i mattoni LEGO, è costituito da butadiene, acrilonitrile e stirene. L'ABS HI presenta ottime proprietà meccaniche e buona resistenza alle alte temperature.
L'ABS, che fa parte del materiale di stampa standard, richiede maggiore attenzione per l'elaborazione. Quando si stampa l'ABS, assicurarsi che il materiale si raffreddi lentamente per evitare distorsioni e crepe. Può aiutare utilizzare un'area di stampa chiusa. La temperatura di stampa è compresa tra 220 e 260 °C. Per evitare il distacco è necessario un letto di stampa riscaldato> 60 °C.
