Description
Il policarbonato termoplastico amorfo (PC) è caratterizzato da elevata robustezza, resistenza agli urti e alle alte temperature. Il PC viene utilizzato ad esempio per produrre CD, DVD e dischi Blu-ray.
Il PC è un materiale difficile da stampare. Sono necessarie temperature di stampa superiori ai 280 °C, un letto di stampa riscaldato > 80 °C e una speciale superficie di stampa (ad esempio Buildtak). A partire da una temperatura del letto di stampa di 100 °C è anche possibile stampare su una superficie in vetro, a seconda della geometria del modello.
