Zortrax ha sviluppato una formula unica di filamento, per ottenere stampe traslucenti. Il filamento Z-GLASS è uno speciale copoliestere dermoplastico, che viene miscelato con fibre di vetro e ha le seguenti caratteristiche:
- Elevata resistenza alla trazione
- Alta resistenza alle alte temperature
- Elevata resistenza all'abrasione (anche di sali, acidi e alcali)
È un materiale disponibile solamente trasparente ed è elastico, brillante e a base di PET.
